It affects about 30% of the world&#039;s population, but often goes unnoticed. A person simply gets used to fatigue, pallor, shortness of breath. And only when the symptoms begin to interfere with work or an active life, the question arises: &quot;Is this anemia?&quot; In fact, it is easy to check. One analysis can give an answer and prevent complications.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"804\">Anemia: what it is and why diagnosis is important<\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"1158\">Anemia is <strong data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"876\">decrease in the number of hemoglobin or red blood cells in the blood<\/strong>, which leads to impaired oxygen transport. In this case, the body&#039;s cells literally &quot;suffocate.&quot; The brain, heart, muscles - everything works in oxygen deficiency mode. The consequences - reduced performance, deterioration of cognitive functions, metabolic disorders, organ damage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1327\">Early diagnosis of anemia allows not only to restore health, but also to avoid <strong data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1327\">complications such as heart failure, chronic brain hypoxia, and decreased blood count<\/a> (ZAK)<\/strong>, and then \u2014 depending on the results \u2014 additional examinations are prescribed:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2212\" data-end=\"2621\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2212\" data-end=\"2256\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2214\" data-end=\"2256\"><strong data-start=\"2214\" data-end=\"2233\">Hemoglobin (Hb)<\/strong> \u2014 the main indicator.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2257\" data-end=\"2326\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2259\" data-end=\"2326\"><strong data-start=\"2259\" data-end=\"2279\">Hematocrit (Hct)<\/strong> \u2014 reflects the ratio of cells and plasma.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2327\" data-end=\"2390\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2329\" data-end=\"2390\"><strong data-start=\"2329\" data-end=\"2349\">Red blood cells (RBC)<\/strong> \u2014 the number of red blood cells.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2391\" data-end=\"2469\">\n<p class=\"\"
