The level of antioxidants in the blood reflects the body&#039;s ability to resist oxidative stress, which is associated with the development of many chronic diseases \u2014 from cardiovascular to cancer.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"633\" data-end=\"682\"><strong data-start=\"636\" data-end=\"682\">What does an antioxidant level test show?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"684\" data-end=\"1126\">This test measures the total antioxidant capacity (TAC) in serum or plasma. It can be performed using different methods (e.g. FRAP, ORAC or TEAC), but the result is an estimate of the body&#039;s overall ability to neutralize free radicals.
