Description

Comprehensive program «"Oncology panel (women)"» is designed specifically for in-depth screening of the female body and assessment of the risk of developing the most common oncological diseases. Timely diagnosis allows you to detect pathological changes at the preclinical stage, when treatment is most effective.

What is included in the panel and the meaning of the indicators:

  • Complete blood count + White blood cell count — a basic laboratory test that reflects the general state of health, the presence of inflammatory processes or systemic changes in the blood.

  • Calcitonin — a highly sensitive marker of medullary thyroid cancer, as well as neuroendocrine tumors.

  • Thyroglobulin (TG, TG) — a specific protein used to monitor the condition of patients after treatment for thyroid diseases.

  • Breast cancer marker (CA 15-3) — an auxiliary indicator for diagnosing and monitoring the effectiveness of breast tumor therapy.

  • Pancreatic tumor marker (CA 19-9) — used to assess the risks of gastrointestinal and pancreatic neoplasms.

  • Ovarian tumor marker (CA-125) — the main marker for monitoring the condition and diagnosing ovarian pathologies.

  • Early ovarian tumor marker (HE-4) — a modern highly sensitive marker that is particularly effective in combination for the early detection of epithelial ovarian cancer.

  • ROMA Index (calculation) — an algorithm for assessing the risk of epithelial ovarian cancer based on a combination of CA-125 and HE-4 indicators, taking into account menopausal status.

  • Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) — a universal tumor marker used for the diagnosis and monitoring of a number of oncological diseases (including gastrointestinal tract).

  • Cytological studies — microscopic analysis of cellular elements to detect atypical changes and precancerous conditions.

  • Liquid cytology PAP test (MRC) — the «gold standard» of screening for cervical pathologies, which has high accuracy and allows you to detect dysplasia and cancer at the earliest stages.

Who is recommended for the examination:

  • Women for annual preventive screening and reproductive health care.

  • With a complicated hereditary history (presence of cancer in the family).

  • To monitor the condition after previously performed treatment or as part of comprehensive diagnostic programs.

Rules for preparing for taking tests

  • Blood donation:

    • It is recommended to donate blood in the morning on an empty stomach (the last meal should be at least 8–12 hours before the test, you can drink clean, non-carbonated water).

    • 1–2 days before the examination, you should exclude fatty, fried foods and alcohol from your diet.

    • On the day of blood donation, you should avoid physical exertion and emotional stress. It is advisable to rest quietly for 30 minutes before the procedure.

    • You should refrain from smoking 1 hour before blood sampling.

  • Delivery of gynecological materials (cytology, PAP test):

    • It is recommended to submit the biomaterial before the gynecological examination or no earlier than 2–3 days after it.

    • 2–3 days before the examination, sexual intercourse, use of vaginal suppositories, ointments, douches, or other topical medications should be avoided.

    • The analysis is not performed during menstruation (the optimal time is in the first half of the cycle after it ends, or as prescribed by a doctor).
