DNA Day

DNA Day commemorates the day in 1953 when three articles were published in the journal Nature revealing the molecular structure of DNA. It also marks the completion of the Human Genome Project, which was announced in April 2003.
🧬 DNA is deoxyribonucleic acid. It is in DNA that our genetic information is stored, and this test is one of the most popular for establishing family ties. The discovery of the DNA helix was revolutionary for science.
📍Thanks to the discovery of DNA, the code of heredity was revealed, genetic risk was identified, the formation of programmed properties of the organism began, heredity is being improved, and genetic engineering technologies are being created.
This day provides a unique opportunity for geneticists and doctors of various specialties involved in providing care to patients with hereditary pathologies to discuss their research with students, doctors, and the public.
