Immunization

📍At the initiative of the European Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO), immunization has been carried out since 2005.
📍Organizational activities during Immunization Week are aimed at restoring public confidence in preventive vaccinations, bringing reliable information from doctors about the effectiveness and safety of modern vaccines to the attention of parents who refuse to vaccinate children and adults.
💡 According to WHO, immunization prevents 2 to 3 million deaths annually from diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, mumps, rubella, and other diseases.
💉 Immunization is the process by which a person becomes immune, or resistant, to infectious diseases, usually through the administration of a vaccine. Vaccines stimulate the body's own immune system to protect a person against a specific infection or disease.
