🩸Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor that develops from ovarian tissue. 5% of deaths from cancer are due to ovarian cancer. Mortality from this disease exceeds mortality from uterine cancer and cervical cancer, taken together. Incidence increases and gets younger with age.
🔬Studies show that ovarian cancer is more common in developed countries. Among women with impaired ovarian function (use of ovulation stimulation drugs, frequent abortions, infertility), the prevalence of the disease is higher.
