The STI Test Panel No. 5 is a comprehensive PCR test for the qualitative detection of five pathogens: Ureaplasma parvum, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis and Chlamydia trachomatis. The test helps detect the genetic material of these microorganisms in a urogenital sample and may be recommended if there are symptoms, after possible contact with an infection, or as prescribed by a doctor. Detection of a microorganism does not always mean a disease that requires treatment: the results are evaluated taking into account symptoms, history and clinical recommendations. Of particular importance is the detection of Mycoplasma genitalium і Chlamydia trachomatis, which are recognized pathogens of sexually transmitted infections.
STI Research Panel #5 is a specialized test for the detection of major sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This comprehensive diagnostic allows you to quickly and accurately determine the presence of infectious agents in your body using the real-time PCR (polymerase chain reaction) method.
Research indicators:
- Ureaplasma parvum (Ureaplasmosis)
- Method: Real-time PCR-qualitative determination (y/z)
- Description: Detection of Ureaplasma parvum, which can cause urogenital infections and negatively affect reproductive function.
- Ureaplasma urealiticum (Ureaplasmosis)
- Method: Real-time PCR-qualitative determination (y/z)
- Description: Test for the presence of Ureaplasma urealiticum, which is associated with inflammatory processes in the genitourinary system.
- Mycoplasma genitalis (Mycoplasmosis)
- Method: Real-time PCR-qualitative determination (y/z)
- Description: Determination of Mycoplasma genitalis, which can lead to urethritis, inflammation of the appendages and other urogenital diseases.
- Mycoplasma hominis (Mycoplasmosis)
- Method: Real-time PCR-qualitative determination (y/z)
- Description: Research on Mycoplasma hominis, a pathogen that can cause various complications in the female reproductive system.
- Chlamydia trachomatis (Chlamydia)
- Method: Real-time PCR-qualitative determination (y/z)
- Description: Detection of Chlamydia trachomatis, one of the most common STIs, which can cause serious complications if left untreated.
Advantages of the research panel:
- Speed of results: Get test results in a short time.
- High accuracy: Real-time PCR provides high sensitivity and specificity of testing.
- Comprehensive approach: Simultaneous detection of multiple infections at once.
- Easy to carry out: Testing is non-invasive and comfortable for the patient.
Thanks to the STI research panel No. 5, you will be able to receive timely information about your health status and take the necessary measures for treatment and prevention of complications.
