Preparing for blood donation
Venous or capillary blood sampling is performed in the morning on an empty stomach. The optimal fasting period before the procedure is from 8 to 12 hours.
On the eve of a visit to any department of the Medi Lab Plus laboratory, it is necessary to refrain from drinking alcohol, limit fatty foods, and avoid heavy physical or emotional stress.
In the morning before the procedure, you are allowed to drink only clean, still water. You should inform your doctor in advance about taking medications that affect the blood clotting or hematopoiesis system for correct interpretation of the results.
