Antibodies to muscle-specific receptor tyrosine kinase (MuSK)
1,800 UAH
Antibodies to MuSK are specific autoantibodies that may be present in patients with myasthenia gravis – an autoimmune disease characterized by skeletal muscle weakness.
Their detection is an important diagnostic criterion, especially in cases where antibodies to acetylcholine receptors (AChR) are absent.
When is it recommended to undergo analysis:
in case of suspected myasthenia gravis with negative results for AChR antibodies;
in patients with progressive muscle weakness, chewing, swallowing, or breathing disorders;
to clarify the diagnosis and choose the optimal treatment tactics.
What the result shows:
Positive The result confirms the presence of an autoimmune process associated with myasthenia gravis (MuSK-positive form).
Negative The result does not exclude the disease, but reduces the likelihood of its autoimmune nature associated with MuSK.
Preparation for analysis:
No special training is required.
It is recommended to donate blood in the morning on an empty stomach.
