Clostridium difficile (GDH + toxin A/B) test is a qualitative stool test to identify the causative agent of severe diarrhea, often associated with antibiotic use. The test detects the presence of the antigen (GDH) and toxins A and B, indicating active infection. Recommended for prolonged diarrhea, abdominal pain, after antibiotic treatment, or hospitalization.
