Preparation requirements for urine collection for testing in the Medi Lab+ laboratory

1) Sterile disposable container (can be purchased at any pharmacy);
2) To properly collect urine from infants, a urine collection device should be used, for both boys and girls;
3) It is imperative to follow all hygiene rules when collecting the material (do not use soap and gel products, treat the external genitalia) regardless of age and gender.
IMPORTANTLY!
– Do not take diuretics on the eve of material collection (only as prescribed by the attending physician. Do not forget to inform the laboratory representative about the use of any medications).
– If a cystoscopy was performed, urine collection can only be done 5-7 days after the examination.
– Urine testing during menstruation is not reliable. It is recommended to wait until the end of the cycle or take this test as prescribed by your doctor.
– Do not deliver urine collected from a diaper to the Medi Lab+ laboratory. The results of the study of such material are not informative.
