Antibodies to myeloperoxidase (MPO), IgG

Myeloperoxidase is an enzyme in white blood cells, and when the immune system starts to produce antibodies against it, it can be a sign of the disease.
What not to do before taking the test:
To get accurate results, you need to prepare properly for the MPO antibody test, as with most blood tests. Avoid the following:
- Don't eat for 8-12 hours before blood sampling. The analysis is performed strictly on an empty stomach.
- Do not drink alcohol. at least 24 hours before the study.
- Don't smoke. within an hour before analysis.
- Avoid excessive physical and emotional stress. 30 minutes before the procedure.
- Do not take medication. without consulting your doctor. Some medications may affect the results. Be sure to tell your doctor about all medications you are taking.
